MTA MALAYSIA 2010: A MAJOR SUCCESS AMIDST ECONOMIC RECOVERY 31 May 2010 , Kuala Lumpur – Amidst Malaysia’s economic recovery and a GDP growth projected to exceed 7% this year, MTA MALAYSIA 2010, one of Malaysia’s largest metalworking exhibitions had a successful showing at the Putra World Trade Centre recently. Notably, the RM700 million forecasted sales target was achieved, thanks to the faster than expected recovery in the domestic economy which led to stronger participation from industry players. In total the 1,200 companies from 22 countries/regions, which included six country/region pavilions, took up an additional 33% of exhibition space to 30,000 sq metres.
